Back in the late 90's there was a site called Xanga. It was a place to "blog" before "blogging" was a thing. I just tried to access my site and the data has been archived... Big Shocker.. I could take action to restore but when I made the attempt I think I clicked on a link I probably shouldn't have clicked on... Oops... Anywho.. Xanga was around the same time as MySpace and AOL Instant Messenger.. I remember writing passive aggressive posts about ex friends and documenting moments in time before they could be captured in photographs on places like Facebook and Instagram.. Now, here we are.. full circle.. "Blogging" again.. This time I'm word vomiting to help "drive more visitors" to my website. Although I have a job in marketing, I have learned everything I know about my actual marketing job from experience and not from any previous knowledge at a university. My degree is in psychology but my career for the past 20 years has been in sales, operations and most recently marketing and paid advertising strategy... I find it quite humorous that I have spent the last few months taking online courses and watching videos learning about actual marketing and not the silo'ed marketing I do for my "day" job.
So I guess now that I have officially "kicked off" my blog.. I'll sit back and wait to see if this does drive "traffic, impressions, conversions , SEOs " or any/all of the above lingo that helps with product marketing. Hopefully soon I will have actual customers reach out.. instead of sales specialist that want to help fix my page.. Listen bruh, if I wanted help, I would know how to find it.. I do this on the side, when I have time, for fun... Stop spamming me.
